What is alcoholism? "A chronic disease characterized by lack of control of over one’s drinking, a preoccupation with alcohol and continued drinking despite adverse consequences" (DrugRehab.com) . Alcoholism is the most severed addiction of alcohol and it involves the inability to manage your drinking habits. One in eight Americans struggle with alcoholism. Alcoholism consists of three major categories: mild, moderate, and severe. Each category has various symptoms and can also have a list of numerous side effects.
